A Small Comparison

With so much holiday prep to do in the kitchen today, I’m bringing you a very brief post. I thought it might be interesting to see these two quilts together – first is the original quilt that I taught to my small quilt group over a six month period and then the second quilt, finished recently, using the leftover blocks from the first. Both are now in the quilting lineup and I have some serious (fun) work ahead of me for the New Year.

until next time, carol

It never ceases to amaze me how the exact same blocks in different settings can make two totally different quilts! They both are wonderful and I have some of the border fabric that you used in the second quilt….Sew-Sisters clearance fabric! xoxo

What great observations you’ve made, Tammy! I am thrilled with both projects and can’t wait to get working on the quilting for both. And that Sew-Sisters clearance fabric has been aging in my stash for a while now, so it feels good to put it to such a nice finish! xox
