Up and Running…

I hope all is as it should be, therefore, this is basically just a test run of the blog. I’ve been having a great deal of problems and suspect some form of hacking into my site, and I’m very sad about that. I’ve been so incredibly busy, unusually so for this time of year, with a great many things happening on the home-front and work-wise.

I had been plowing my way through the stacked up project pile and hit a glitch when my longarm just stopped. Since I was on my way to Red Deer last week, I made a quick detour to Edmonton and dropped off my machine at the dealership for service, not knowing what was wrong or when I’d get it back. Well, what a pleasant surprise to get a message two days later saying, not only was it fixed but, that they would bring it to the quilt show so I could pick it up there instead of driving all the way back to Edmonton.

Since arriving back home the machine has been set up and running full force, even better than when it was purchased six years ago! The quilt that was mounted on the frame when things went haywire has now been completed and there is another one already one third of the way done. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do!

You may remember this quilt from a few weeks back, when it was just a flimsy on the clothesline. It’s now fresh off the quilting frame and has the binding machine sewn around it, and I’m currently in the process of hand sewing the binding down. This is my version of the quilt/block of the month I’ve been teaching at the Plenty church since last June and I really wanted to have it finished in time for our third annual quilt show on May 4th. Tight deadlines are always a great motivator, don’t you think?

until next time, always carol xox

Thanks, Tammy! I’m very happy to receive your comments as I was beginning to think that had been affected by the blog glitches I was experiencing lately. I’m on a mission to get ‘er done and working towards a very special quilt top that I brought back from Red Deer 😮 The quilting on this quilt is my loop-de-loops with a little hook thrown in once in a while, giving a lovely texture. xox
